Moving Guide
On the day of your removal be ready before the van arrives. The removal team will load your possessions. The driver will already have your new address but it is helpful if you could give him a map showing the location of your new residence / premises – and a contact number before he leaves.
Please ensure someone is at your new home/premises when the van arrives and that they have a key to the premises. If we have to wait for access this may incur additional charges.
If there are any parking restrictions at either house/premises, or if either residence is a flat, or has access problems, we need to know.
The removal team will place your furniture and boxes in rooms as directed. However they will not unpack for you nor take away debris unless you have pre-arranged this as part of the service.
Do you intend to pack your own equipment? Or will you ask us to do it for you? If you are taking care of the packing yourself, make sure this is completed (at the latest) the day prior to moving.
It helps if each box is not too large or heavy for a man to lift, nor too small – as this will waste loading time. Naturally you will label your boxes and packages but those containing FRAGILE items should be clearly marked.
Business Moves: If we are helping you with a move to new business premises, the same basic advice applies.
Where computer equipment is involved it is necessary that all systems are fully disconnected and items such as scanners are prepared for transit.
Insurance is available at additional cost. Our charges reflect the value and quantity of goods to be moved, but does not cover items packed by the customer.
